Lukka breathed in deep, held it in her lungs a moment, before letting it out slowly. It is like I asked a fae to grant my wishes. She glanced up at Karrok, who had far too much smarm in his grin as he looked down at her; he was waiting for her to react to the way he intended to fulfill her demands.

Kashira thrummed as Goren straightened up from holding her nose. “Well, it’s time to go, so remove your clothes and put them away in my bag so they are dry tonight.” She could see all the heat that came to Goren’s face as he reflexively shook his head no.
Chapter 13: Departing for His Old Home
The wind shifted and brought a strong scent of cherry blossoms, even at this time of year. Kashira remembered the smell was persistent way back then too, though she never actually saw the trees. No petals drifted on the winter wind this time, but she’d seen it happen before.
